The unmistakable sample of Kenny Dixon Junior aka Moodymann's impromptu dj speech in Manchester along with low-slung bass, warm claps and hi-hats has resulted in Oliver $'s "Doing Ya Thang" becoming this years biggest underground track to date. Having spent years working as Jesse Rose's production engineer, Oliver has finally emerged from the shadow of his boss to see his current tracks and remixes being championed by the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Derrick Carter and Claude Von Stroke. Oliver has had Numerous releases on labels like Made to Play, Grand Petrol and Front Room Recordings as well as mixing the Made To Play compilation CD, “Playing Around”. With another string of releases planned for the second half of 2011, this is proving to be the breakthrough year for the Belin mastro.
